Oidhche Shamhna - Ardrossan Halloween Parade 2017!
Pairèid uabhasach soirbheachail a bha anns an 5mh Pairèid Oidhche Shamhna againn & bha sinn air leth toilichte obrachadh ri buidheann dràma òigridh ionadail, Capall Dorcha cuideachd. This year's Halloween Parade, our 5th such event with Gaelic at it's core since 2014, was a huge success and featuring work with local Ardrossan Youth Drama company Capall Dorcha, as well as direct engagement with diverse range of community participants, from very young members of Busybees Nursery, primary aged students, teenagers, adults and grandparents. The parade also integrated our usual broad mix of artforms, including drama, dance, poetry, large-scale portable sculpture & interactive street puppetry, Celtic & Contemporary Graffiti-influenced art, lantern-making and portable prop production, with Gaelic forming an important part of each and every parade section, several being directly derived from both local & Scottish/Gaelic folklore.
