Pairèid Oidhche Shamhna Phàislig - Paisley 2016 Halloween Parade
Bha mi air ais airson an 4mh bliadhna ris a' phròiseact seo a tha na dhìleab air Mhòd Nàiseanta Phàislig ann an 2013. Back for the 4th Halloween since the Royal National Mòd in Paisley 2013, the legacy of the Paisley Mòd continued with this year's parade engaging more young and older adults and broadening our engagement with groups beyond the traditional dance & theatre genres. The exuberant joy expressed by participants and recorded in the images is one of the most powerful inspirations to continue this bilingual Gaelic Outreach & Engagement work, despite numerous serious challenges.
Bha e dìreach sgoinneil obrachadh ris na buidhneann ùra agus chì sibh cho mòr is a chòrd e riutha gu h-ìosal. This engagement with two Paisley-based Martial Arts groups and a group of local Social, Youth, Care & Community Advocates & Workers made this year's experience even deeper and more meaningful than what was achieved in 2015's groundbreaking parade - apparently one of the largest bilingual outdoor public Gaelic arts events ever and the first of its kind in a parade context.
